Barred Owl. It's great to have neighbors that feed my passion for bird photography. I got a text from a neighbor alerting me to this "big bird" in her woods. I arrived to find this beautiful Barred Owl. Oxford CT 12/23/23

You normally don't see the crescent overflowing the Southford Waterfall (CT) but, the heavy rains provided all the necessary water! And the rains stopped 2 days ago! 12/20/23

New eagle find in Southbury ct Found a new eagle in SW CT today. Not fully matured as the head is not pure white. He was harassed by a black bird but could care less. The last image is to show perspective. I am about 500 yards away with a 600mm lens and did not crop it. ( look at it full screen) At that distance the eagle has his eye on me! I wasn't even sure it was an eagle until I took a test shot and looked at a cropped image on the back of the camera. Amazing! 11/22/23
